"Coach left much later than expected"
The coach ended up leaving really late, and it pretty much threw off our whole day. Maybe I’m being a bit harsh, but it was frustrating because we had plans built around the scheduled departure time

"Something Felt Off About the Onboard Facilities"
The onboard facilities were disappointing. The toilet was dirty, the seats felt cramped, and the charging points didn’t work, which made the trip more uncomfortable than it needed to be. The whole coach just felt tired and not very well looked after. I couldn’t help wondering if it had been properly checked before the journey.

"I felt like the staff didn’t really care..."
I felt like the staff didn’t really care much during my stay. I’d ask for help and kind of get brushed off, and after a while you just feel like you’re being ignored. It made the whole hotel experience feel way less welcoming than it should have been.

"Not much choice with the food"
The food options just weren’t great, to be honest. Breakfast felt limited, and dinner was kind of the same, same thing again. If you’re even a little bit fussy, there really, really isn’t much to choose from.

"Booking left me a bit confused"
I tried booking a coach holiday on Shearings i found it more confusing than I expected. The pages loaded fine, so that wasn’t the issue, but some of the options weren’t very clear and I kept having to go back to check what I’d actually selected. I wasn’t always sure if I was doing it right. The payment did go through in the end, but the whole process felt a bit clunky and awkward. Not terrible, just more of a hassle than it needed to be.

"Maybe it was just me, but the room wasn’t super comfy"
The room was okay, but I didn’t find the bed very comfortable. It felt hard to me, though maybe I’m just used to a softer mattress. I had a tough time getting really settled in.

"My booking confirmation was a mess"
I booked a short break through shearings.com and felt a bit embarrassed when I checked the confirmation email, because the details didn’t match what I thought I’d booked. The pickup point was different, and the date was written in a way that just made me second-guess everything.

I ended up ringing them to make sure I hadn’t messed it up myself, but I got passed around a bit and then was basically told it was “probably fine.” That didn’t exactly fill me with confidence, especially after already paying for it.

It made the whole thing feel stressful before the trip had even started. I know mistakes happen, but the response wasn’t very reassuring, and I don’t think I’d be keen to book online with them again.

"Still waiting on my refund after canceling"
I canceled my trip and I’m still waiting for the refund to show up. I’ve contacted support a few times, but I keep getting transferred from one person to another and no one seems to actually resolve it. Frustrating at this point.

"Felt stuck with no real response"
I reached out with a complaint and just felt trapped in the whole process. I kept waiting for a proper reply, but nothing useful ever came back. It was frustrating because I didn’t know what else to do or who to contact next.

Not gonna lie, I was disappointed with the room. There was dust everywhere, and the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned at all before we arrived

"Felt a bit too rushed, didn’t it?"
I felt like the trip was way too packed. Most days had so many stops and set times that we barely had a chance to just wander around or relax. Isn’t part of traveling supposed to be having some free time to explore at your own pace? It ended up feeling more like a school trip than a vacation. I don’t think I’d book this one again

"Felt completely left in the dark"
The holiday was really poorly organised from start to finish. Our hotel was changed at the last minute, the coach times were all over the place, and every time we asked for an update, nobody seemed to know what was going on. It felt like we were just left in the dark the whole time, which made the trip more stressful than enjoyable.

"Pretty cramped for a longer ride"
I took this trip the other day after grabbing a coffee way too early in the morning, it wasn’t the most comfortable experience. The seats felt cramped, and after a little while the ride started to feel tiring fast. It was fine enough to get where I needed to go, but I definitely found myself shifting around a lot and wishing there was just a bit more room

We booked with Shearings because the itinerary looked straightforward, and to be fair, the booking side was easy enough and the coach was comfortable. Once we were actually on the trip though, things didn’t really line up with what we’d been shown. Some times changed, a few stops felt much shorter than advertised, and one place we were expecting to visit was more or less skipped with very little explanation.
I totally understand that plans can shift when you’re travelling, but it would’ve been better if that had been made clearer from the start. It ended up feeling like we’d paid for one version of the trip and got a slightly different one. The staff were pleasant enough, but it did make it hard to rely on the schedule, which was frustrating

I tried using the website and it was a pain. Pages kept freezing, the search filters reset every time I changed something, and the booking form was really confusing. I also ended up waiting in a queue longer than expected, which just made the whole thing more frustrating. After about ten minutes, I gave up.

"Poor communication, especially for the price"
I wasn’t really happy with the pre-trip communication. I had to keep chasing just to get basic details, and replies took way longer than expected. When they did respond, the answers were vague and didn’t clear much up. For what I paid, I expected things to feel a lot more organized. It left me feeling a bit anxious before the trip even started, which wasn’t a great first impression...

"Came Home Disappointed"
I just didn’t really enjoy this holiday. I was hoping to come back feeling relaxed and refreshed, but instead I felt stressed out and a bit let down. The whole trip put me in a gloomy mood, and it wasn’t at all what I’d been looking forward to. I wouldn’t book it again.

"Excursions felt rushed and disappointing"
For some reason, the excursions just didn’t feel well thought out at all. Most of the stops were really rushed, especially considering how long we spent sitting on the coach to get there. The guide didn’t seem to know a great deal, and there was a lot of hanging around when we could’ve been actually seeing things. It all felt a bit cheap and badly planned, which wasn’t what I expected from Shearings. I don’t think I’d book again if the excursions were the main reason for going

"The hotel itself was okay, but the food..."
The hotel itself was okay, but the food really let it down. I felt a bit embarrassed because I’d talked it up to my partner before we arrived, and then the meals ended up being bland with not much choice. A few things were only lukewarm too, which didn’t help. For the price, I just expected better

"Payment options made me hesitate"
I was interested in booking, but the deposit and payment options felt limited and a bit confusing. I couldn’t really find clear info, and the whole process made me feel more like a ticket number than an actual customer. I would’ve felt a lot better if there were more flexible ways to pay and everything was explained upfront.
